No bake! Makes about 12 bird’s nests. Hands on time: 15 min. Total time: 1,5 hours. Tools: rolling pin (or you could use a bottle), ziploc bag, (baking) tray lined with baking paper. Instruction video below.
Ingredients
- 50 g cornflakes
- 100 g dark chocolate (melted)
- about 30 peanut m&m’s (I used the special spring colours)
Directions
- Put the cornflakes inside the ziploc bag and seal the bag.
- Bash the cornflakes up with your rolling pin, until they are a bit smaller pieces. Don’t bash too long, it should still be pieces.
- Melt the chocolate. This can be done either on the microwave or in a heat proof bowl suspended over boiling water. The bowl should not touch the water.
- Stir the cornflakes into the melted chocolate until thoroughly combined.
- Line a tray with baking paper and using two spoons scoop little mounts of the cornflakes and chocolate mixture on it.
- Make a little well in the centre of each mount.
- Place the m&m’s on the nests like little eggs. Be sure to place them with the m&m logo down.
- Let rest until completely set (about an hour).
- Tadaaaa!
